    Coming Events

Here is a note from Bill Gordon at Chapter 7 about the March 15th meeting.

    March 15th 6 pm

    Chapter 7 Presents

Sustainable Manufacturing- New Challenges -  By Thomas Swarr

Global companies are facing growing competitive challenges to improve the quality and reduce prices of their products. They are further challenged to address a growing list of environmental and social objectives, such as reducing greenhouse gases and protecting jobs. Because many of the most visible environmental and social impacts occur at production facilities, manufacturing engineers will bear the brunt of reconciling the global pressures for efficiency and low cost against community demands for high paying jobs and a clean environment. While there are significant challenges and some difficult choices, we have the tools and technology needed to create vibrant and healthy communities that can provide sustainable livelihoods.

    Meeting is in Manchester
